Effective 20th January 2025, Erlang Solutions will discontinue distributing prebuilt binary packages for Erlang/OTP and Elixir.

We are adapting to modern development practices to better serve the developer community with:

• Optimized Docker Support
• Custom Build Support
• Enhanced Integration with Package Managers

What This Means for Developers

1. Alternatives Available:
   • Erlang Docker Images for containerized environments.
   • HEX Package Manager for managing Erlang/Elixir dependencies.
   • Erlang/OTP Source Code to build from source.

   Instructions for Native Package Managers:

   • For APT (Debian-based systems):

     sudo apt-get update
     						sudo apt-get install erlang

   • For RPM (Red Hat-based systems):

     sudo yum install erlang

2. Custom Build Services: Tailored binaries for specific operating systems or platforms, with performance and security enhancements.
3. Technical Support: Paid support packages and consulting services to help organizations transition seamlessly.
